In a New York Jazzy State Of Mind.

The Rainbow Soul Journal would like to be a frequently updated blog with the latest information and updates on many things that hit the news this week. But lets face it, this blogger has to pay bills and blogging doesn't exactly do that. So off to work one must try to go. Anyway this blog hasn't completed the "Ten Days of Hayes" celebration of the life and music of Isaac Hayes in honor of his birthday August 20th. That will happen soon. But after a long work day one needs to unwind and with that must be some laid back cool jazzy music, a good drink (non-alcoholic for this blogger) and a late dinner.

Musically we are in a NEW YORK STATE OF MIND, and each of these songs have something about New York in it's title. Enjoy the grooves.

"We Live in Brooklyn Baby" by Roy Ayers

"Harlem River Drive" by Bobbi Humphrey (1973)

"3 Days in Manhattan" by Down To The Bone

"Brooklyn Heights" by Down To The Bone

"Dreamin A Dream" by Crown Heights Affair

"Native New Yorker" by Odyssey (1977)

"New York State Of Mind" by Carmen McCrae
