The McCainASAURUS vs. The Mighty Prince Obama: I think I'm headed to the Barr

I think I am still one of the "undecided" for this election. Actually, its more of which evil is less enough to consider or should I just consider staying home on November 4th.

I have many concerns and don't have the time to type them all out. I do have work to do and a little bit of a life to live. I have always been an independent as far as politics are concerned but my political beliefs lean toward Libertarians. The Libertarian Candidate for President is former congressman from Georgia Bob Barr and his vice presidential running mate is Wayne Allyn Root. But you wouldn't know that because of this country's obsession with just TWO political parties. Most voters are too brainwashed toward the Democrats and Republicans to consider anything else.

Bob Barr was a former Republican who abandoned that political party. Maybe he saw some light. I don't know. I do know that I appreciate him for his support for THE FAIR TAX, a complete tax reform that would revolutionize our economy for true fairness in the system and for prosperity. It would get rid of the IRS as we know it and live would be so much easier. You should read about it, start with the (www.fairtax.org) Fairtax website and order the well informed books on the subject. Compare it to what you have to deal with now and you may want to see a radical change.

Libertarians also seem to be more for true freedom and liberty in this USA. They tend to mind their own business and allow others to mind theirs without restrictions. Republicans want to control your body and select freedoms for select people in this country but want every one's tax dollars. Democrats want more of a free ride on the hard work of the wealthy and to regulate how the wealthy do their work. They want and whine about everything but aren't willing to work hard enough to get it themselves.

As for the two political clowns who get all of the attention, I think the two major candidates picked the WORST possible choices for VP. BOTH of them screwed up on that one. Both of them talk a lot of crap including the use of the word "change" but it is all the same old crap.

Change? Barack Obama's main slogan. How the hell do we get change when you pick a running mate that has been a part of the messed up establishment for the past 36 years? What change? What substance? I don't see any.

And what did they slip into John McCain's cereal on the morning he thought to pick the winking Hockey Mom as a running mate. There are many conservatives and Republicans who actually live the policies they believe in. Sarah Palin and family are the epitome of hypocrisy according to the traditional conservative line.

The debates with these clowns have offered very little in substance and new ideas for a real change in this country.

I am also disgusted that they never allow a third party candidate to participate in the debates! I am so sick of this domination of Democrats and Republicans.

Dammit, let the other political parties have a voice. Some political parties (like the Green party) MAY be a little off the wall but if we were reasonably intelligent about this instead of simply following some party line like a flock of buzzards to road kill then maybe, just maybe we could find an independent or different political party candidate that actually shares REAL concerns with us and actually gives a damn about us more than the power their political title offers.

Maybe I'm a political radical. The people who are on either side of the traditional top two political party lines often think of independents like me as misguided or ignorant. Some have said worse. But honestly, those factors apply to people who don't have the capacity to think for themselves and follow whatever their political party leaders tell them. Even worse are the people who follow every word of political party mouthpieces like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. I am finding it difficult to separate their impact on the STUPIDITY of the USA from the trailer park trash you see on Jerry Springer or the ghetto baby mama sluts on Maury. Stupid is as stupid appears.

People who register for a specific political party (THANK GOD WE DON'T DO THAT IN GEORGIA!!!!) and people who vote for a strict party line are another great problem for this nation. You may think you are open minded but you are not. I wish you would finally see the light and know that the political party ass that you have been kissing for so long has really been shitting on you.

Sure that is a rude comment, but the truth hurts. But you wouldn't really notice that because you continue to believe the lies that your political party has been feeding to you.

Some of you may finally see a little light (at least in your wallet) now that BOTH political parties recently voted for a financial bailout of Wall Street that has so far done nothing but add to the sinking ship of corruption and corporate greed. Yes, that politician you voted for and some of you asked to not vote for the bailout did so anyway and proudly admitted they didn't care about your opposition. But i'm sure you will still vote for that candidate anyway because of either the "D" or the "R" next to their name. You just can't bring yourself to vote for a person rather than their political affiliation.

I NEVER vote for any political party. I vote the PERSON who I best agree with on a variety of issues. Sadly, most of those votes have been throwaways for the lesser of the evils. And it looks like 2008 is no exception.

I don't trust the McCainasaurus or The Mighty Prince Obama.

On a local level, my Democratic congressman Jim Marshall is a Democrat in name only and every year proving to be waste of space. Sure he is a great supporter of our Military and our troops. But he can do that as a civilian. He has been worthless in our congress. Same for my former congressman who has spent the last 6 years as a Republican senator from Georgia, Saxby Chambliss. Time for him to go too. I don't hold much hope for those who are running against them (Rick Goddard, congress and Jim Martin, senate). But why not take a chance on them since we are all about this "CHANGE'.

Lets change the game completely. Change all the bozos in the political circus.

Presidential Idol 2008

I rarely express my political opinion because I honestly don't want to offend anyone. I have friends and family of different political persuasions (sp) and I know they all mean well. I respect them all for the content of their character as a human being. And I learn from them when they share their experiences and opinions. They offer much for me to think about and to compare with my own for me to form MY opinion. But if I share that honest opinion, it turns people away if my opinion opposes theirs or appears "radical" to some. This time of the year often gets me into a quiet stress mode.

This may be a long shot, but I was wonderiing if anyone else is (or have long been) fed up with the more popular Democrat and Republican parties and feel left out of this "Presidential Idol" competition?

Yes, this is a biased question. I woke up a long time ago and realized that being affiliated with or staunchly supporting one political party over another is a supreme form of laziness. Republicans, Democrats and most of their supporters seem to have their heads so far up their political party's ass that they will believe anything their so-called leaders tell them. Then some react like ignorant little brats while expressing their opposition to the "other" party.

Prime examples of "brats" would include the violent protesters at the Republican National Convention AND idiot republican mouthpieces like Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh.

If that sounds rude, I apologize. But I am an equal opportunity critic. Most when it comes to political concerns are un-compromising and one sided. They either refuse to listen or understand other sides or some are just plain unable to think for themselves. With all respect I truly believe that most people are either brainwashed or simply following the trend of whatever they think is "cool".

I am especially mournful of this United States of America as most of its people really have no idea what or who they are really supporting. One group supports a "rock star" who speaks well and appears to have class but has little to show for in accomplishments. Sure, he is young and we do need a fresh start. But where are the people who were really born to lead us into something better?

The other side supports an aging vetran who really doesn't really share the same values but they can't pull enough of their own people together to support another hyprocate that does share their warped values. 6 months ago, they hated this guy, now they are in full support, towing that party line and setting themselves up for disappointment.

I am proudly NON-PARTISAN. Independents tend to think for themselves. They don't kiss the ass of some supreme political party platform. They try to understand more than one side of an issue.

I have found my political beliefs leaning more Libertarian but I will never join ANY political party. Libertarians wish for more true freedom. They don't give a damn what you are or what you do with your life as long as you accept responsibility for it. They seem to be the best "third" party option and I so badly wish for them to knock the top two out of the game.

But we who are not what I consider to be "followers the political flock" are so outnumbered. I wish more would see the light and fight for real change. Change of the totally screwed up political party system that will NEVER bring us into the "freedom" we so blindly claim as citizens of the (not so) United States of America.

So while my dear friends and family support their cause and candidate, I am left with choosing the lesser of the two evils. I'm not even sure which one that is yet.

I honor those who fought and died for ME to have the right to vote but often all of our votes are wasted.

I am tired of being lied to. I am long tired of voting for people who promised things they really had no intention to deliver on.

I am tired of this "Presidential Idol" contest every four years.

Songs in the key of my life

"Don't You Call Me Brother" (1973) By The O'Jays

"The Sly, The Slick and The Wicked" (1970) by The Lost Generation

"Living All Alone" (1986) by Phyllis Hyman

Damn, I understood her so well

Fuck it! All of the fake friends, even more fake family, the failed relatioships that never really happened anyway other than in my dreams. Fuck the drama that people push onto me. Fuck all of the undeserved disappointments!

I never meant anything but the best when dealing with people and I always get kicked in the gut. Don't tell me any shit about "family" either, cause it is usually family that is your worst enemy and those bitches picked the worst possible time to prove it. Fuck all of you! Hope I am not unclear about this.

I don't need any more bullshit from anyone anywhere. If there are "real" people in this world I sure wish I could get to know you. Otherwise leave me as I have been for 40 years. Leave me the hell alone!

I think they need a name change!

I needed gas. WE ALL NEED GAS and the cost of it is painful.

So I found a gas station with an interesting name.

El Cheapo?

El Cheapo my ass!

Would someone tell the owners of the "EL Cheapo" gas station that they need to consider a name change! I think at this point in our economy using the word "El Cheapo" is false advertising. It's about as lame as that supermarket chain that gives a measly 3 cents off per gallon of gas or 10 cents off per gallon if you spend $100 dollars on their grossly overpriced groceries. Those discounts won't even make up for the price of a postage stamp. It damn sure won't make up for an item purchased in a supermarket. Maybe a STICK of chewing gum? (used) ewwww.

At least that supermarket that also sells gas didn't name themselves "El Cheapo".

I'll give you $500!

Not that I think anyone would read this, I have an offer to give someone $500.

My offer is the result of a conversation I heard today on a nationally syndicated radio show. The topic was should a real estate agent be held responsible for selling a house to a customer who could not afford to buy it.

This is not a joke. There really are people out there who believe that with the current mortgage crisis and so many people losing their homes to forclosure are the result of agents selling a house to someone knowing that their financial or credit status meant that they couldn’t afford to buy a home. The converstation that I heard on the radio today suggested that mortgage companies, bankers and now real estate agents were to blame for people losing their homes. The actual people who bought the houses with little money or income and poor credit were not to blame for losing their house in a poor economy.

So my impression with this thing people call a "mortgage crisis" is that many people (some call "home owners") were forced to sign documents for finance contracts on a house. I am assuming that people were threatened with their life if the did not sign and agree to terms that would require people to lead themselves to financial ruin and homelessness. I assume that people were gagged so they could not say the word NO.

So here is my offer.

I will give FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to the first person who can prove to me that they were FORCED into a mortgage contact that had interest rate changes and payment terms that escalated to a point where YOU could not afford to make your monthly payments and eventually lost your home and were put out on the street.

You must prove that a real estate agent or mortgage banker held you against your will and/or threatened physical harm to you and your family. You must prove that an agent put a gun to your head insisting that you purchase a home regardless of your past or current financial situation, employment history and credit worthyness. You must prove that even with your poor credit score you were still forced to purchase a home beyond your means and with higher interest rates.

Also, in order to get the $500 you must have not done ANY of the following while your mortage contract was in effect. This clause is not negotable.

1. You must have not purchased a vehicle on credit during the time of your mortgage contract. No exceptions.

2. You must have not purchased a vehicle (even if you paid cash) that is worth more than the house you are paying a mortgage on.

3. You must have not purchased accessories for said vehicles (ie: Rims, Sound Systems, Hydrolics or graphics) during the time of the mortgage contract.

4. You must have not purchased lottery tickets during the time of your mortgage contract.

5. You must have not gone on expensive vacations during the time of your mortgage contract.

6. You must have not installed "rent to own" furnature in your home during the time of your mortgage contract.

7. You must have not subscribed to any of the following during the time of your mortgage contract- Cable or Satalite Television, Cell phones with extra features, High speed internet instead of cheaper dial-up, Netflix or more than one tabloid magazine per month.

8. You must have had a personal budget and adhered to it during the time of your mortgage contract

9. You must have not gone out to eat in restaurants more than once a month and ONLY when your monthly budget allows for it during the time of your mortgage contract.

10. You must not have ANY maxxed out credit cards during the time of your mortgage contract.

11. Any fraduelent activity (ie: forged signatures) or co-signers DO NOT QUALIFY FOR THIS OFFER.

12 You must have not taken out an additional mortgage on said home.

Again, the first person who meets the above criteria and who can prove that they were FORCED into a mortgage contract by a real estate agent or mortgage banker gets $500 from me.

HAHA, My money is so SAFE!!

It’s not like it could possibly be YOUR FAULT for trying to buy a house that you could not afford or you bought so much crap that you fell behind in your payments or you lost your crappy job and you dont have the education you need to get a better job so you could pay your bills. It’s not like you should have saved your money instead of buying that new playstation or DVD player or Flat screen TV. You might believe that it is the mortgage company’s fault, or the real estate agent’s fault, or George Bush’s Fault. We blame him for everything else, why not blame him for you losing your house too.

Hell, blame Hillary and Obama too. They still own their houses while you are out on your butt.

Snakes On A Plane or Snake In the White House: Which is my worst nightmare?

OK, I fell asleep with the television on. I usually do. But I fell asleep watching the State of The Union. This is not hard to do! Why do I even bother watching that? I want to hear what the president has to say regardless of who it is. But I can never get through those long boring ass speeches.

So I fell asleep half way through George W's Bushit. But a few hours later I woke up to the sound and flashing TV screen lights of the movie "Snakes On A Plane". My TV had "auto tuned" to HBO for a movie I wanted to watch earler but I slept so I missed it. But that damn snakes movie brought me out of a sleep.

NOW MY GROWN ASS IS AFRAID TO GO TO BACK TO SLEEP!!

All of those snakes taking over the plane! ARGGGGGH!!

Am I afraid of snakes? (yes!!!) And I already don't like to fly. I do it occasionally but I try my best to sleep through it. I don't like being trapped and the Snakes on the Plane idea scares the shit out of me.

Call me a WUSS if you want. I will call it SURVIVAL!!

The few minutes I saw of "Snakes On A Plane" had me lifting my feet off the floor. No other movie has done that since the first time I saw "Jaws" at the drive in when it first came out. (yes I am an old fart!)

That movie scared my seven year old little ass when I watched a man slide right into the big shark's mouth. (gobble gobble). I jumped so hard that I nearly created a sunroof in a Monte Carlo.

I hate to know how bad I would feel right now if I had Snakes On a Plane in High Def!!

DumbASSes of the week: Snow Day, Taking the bus and Frozen gas.

I think I should start a weekly blog feature.

The DumbASSes of the week, featuring STUPID people and the STUPID things they do.

These are thing that make you ask "What the F*** were they thinking?" Now I don't normally use that "F" word but sometimes you hear a story about someone who is so stupid, that "F" word seems more appropiate.

Here are a couple news stories to consider.
(CLICK ON THE HEADLINE TO READ THE STORY)

FIRST: I cannot find an article about this online but I heard on the radio about a man who lives in the midwest where the temperatures are around ZERO. He could not get his car started because the gas line in his car had frozen.

His idea to solve this problem? He lit candles and positioned them under the hood of the car. It worked!

He thawed the frozen gas line and blew up the car and the house where the car was parked. OOPS!

I think that person qualifies as one of the "DumbASSes of the week"

Here are news stories with the articles
BANK ROBBER GETS ARRESTED WHILE WAITING FOR CITY BUS

A woman robs a bank and uses public transportation as her getaway. This has happened before. A criminal robs a bank then instead of using a getaway car or carjacking someone, they decide to take the bus. But did this dumbASS know the bus schedule?

SNOW DAY VOICE MAIL

So a High School BRAT calls the private home phone of a school adminstrator to complain because the schools were not closed when the area got a few inches of snow. The administrators wife got a little "pissed" about this and called the 17 year old student back and left him a not-so-nice response. Then the student posts her voice mail online.

Here I have to comment. The student was WRONG for this. The wife who left the message had an honest angry reaction to it and she was RIGHT ON for expressing herself. One thing you DON'T EVER DO is call anyone's private residence for business related concerns.

My problem with this "snow day" thing is that schools today will close for a half inch of snow. The forecast for Northern Virginia where this "snow day" incident happened was for 3 inches of snow. I went to High School in New York and they NEVER closed the schools when it snowed a few inches. I remember when it snowed 2 feet and they still had school open and I WENT TO SCHOOL. Sure attendance was low that day but I went to school anyway. And this little high school brat whines about having to go to school with THREE INCHES of snow? What a WUSS! He was in Northern Virgina WHERE THEY DO GET SNOW. I might have cut a little slack if this had happened in Georgia where they don't get much snow and can't handle it if they did. But even then, it is never a good excuse to pull the stunt this smart ass 17 year old did.

I am going to borrow a phrase I heard coined by my favorite radio talk show host Neal Boortz. This is another example of the "WUSSifacation of America" when a high school student makes an issue out of having to go to class when it snows outside.

Yeah, Dave Kori the high school student is one of the "DumbASSes of the week".

And there are so many more DumbASSes out there. But have work to do. I am sure I will have more "DumbASSes" to talk about later.
