Tornadoes in Americus Georgia

A tornado hit Americus Georgia on Thursday, March 1, 2007 after 9pm.

The local hospital was severely damaged and patients had to be evacuated. It will take months to bring the hospital back into operation.

Two people died in the Americus tornado.

Here are photos of some of the damage. Photos were taken four days after the tornado hit.
